A large central hall opens to a spacious living room with 12 feet high wood beamed ceilings and a huge fireplace. Furnished with a combination of classic XVIII century French furniture and comfortable contemporary American sofas, the living room allows ample light and air through a large double glazed window on the West side and French doors on the East side. Hidden TV, DVD/CD player with surround sound, converts the living room into a most comfortable room. The elegant dining room with large fireplace and beamed ceiling comfortably sits ten guests.

The large Master Bedroom has a California king-size bed. An armoire hides the 24” TV/DVD combo. A walk-in dressing room leads to a large bathroom with double sinks and corner bathtub with shower.
The “Bancroft” room with a canopied queen-size American bed, a 20” TV, and with walk-in dressing room, adjoins a bathroom with double sinks and oversized shower. On the third floor the “Blue” room has 2 twin-size beds. Opposite the “Green” room has also 2 twin-size beds. Both bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sink, bathtub & shower combination, as well as a separate shower.
The “Study” on the second floor, has a sofa bed that can be used by a surprise guest.

Extras: Satellite TV, DVD, CD, stereo-surround sound, fax machine, colour copier, telephones. Screened windows. Hidden safe. Ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. Quiet propane central heating (with sub-floor heating on the ground floor).
Kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, induction cook top, espresso maker. Vast vaulted cave with ample wine storage. Clothes washer and dryer. Resident caretaker/gardener.

Activities: Historical chateaux and vineyards of the Loire Valley. Azay-le-Rideau (12km), Villandry (15km), Ussé (20km), Tours (22km), Chinon (25km), Abbaye of Fontevraud (35km), Amboise (40km), Chenonceau (45km). Paris is 55 minutes by train. Canoeing, ballooning, wine tasting, mushroom picking, dining, hunting in season. Gentle hilly landscape and small roads makes for ideal biking; forest trails invite walking and hiking.
