The Manor House: Beautifully renovated house ideal for larger groups or more than one family holidaying together. The property was built in the mid-19th Century at the height of the local Camembert industry. It still retains the original Fromagerie in the grounds and is surrounded by open countryside. Set in approximately 1 acre, the house benefits from having no immediate neighbours, whilst still being conveniently located for access to the local boulangerie in the mornings! The house is set over 3 floors, with a large Lounge, Dining Room and Kitchen on the ground floor providing plenty of room for entertaining, and all rooms in the house are double-aspect, making the most of the delightful views. There are 7 large double bedrooms, a large bathroom with roll-top bath and shower, and on the top floor a further shower room. There is also a separate cloakroom on the ground floor. All the bedrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished with original wooden parquet floors, white embroidered bed linen and double-aspect views over the surrounding countryside. All have sufficient space for a cot. The main bathroom has a luxurious roll-top bath in the middle of the room to make the most of the double-aspect views. The modern kitchen features a central island unit with 5 burner hob, larder fridge, dishwasher and plenty of space to socialise while preparing delicious French cuisine. The panelled dining room seats 14 providing a bright and airy room for breakfast and atmospheric setting with solid oak furniture, log fire, ornate ceiling and stereogram for lingering dinners. The spacious lounge has a French enamel wood burner as its focus with modern 3 seated sofas, a library of books and DVD's, TV, DVD and CD player for entertaining all the family. French catering and baby facilities, including cot, high chair and bath, are available on request.

The local area: includes forests and lakes with activities for all the family. The property is just 15 minutes drive from the town of L'Aigle, which has the 3rd largest market in France as well as all facilities including a large leisure centre with swimming pool. The house is only 45 minutes from the gorgeous seaside resorts of Deauville and Trouville, and just over an hour from Paris by train. This is a perfect base for exploring the wide range of activities on offer on the edge of the Suisse-Normand, everything from Mountain Biking to Horse-riding is nearby, with the region characterised by rolling landscapes and numerous villages and towns to discover.
