Two master bedrooms with double bed plus single all with en-suite facilities.
Family room with double bed and two singles. Two master bedrooms with double bed
and en-suite facilities. There is also a large lounge, comfortably appointed and
with an open log fire. Dining room, enjoy a meal in the oak panelled dining room
with its traditional fireplace and tapestry. Wonderful food and superb wine is
always available on request.
Leisure facilities
Indoor pool, well equipped gym, sauna, croquet, tennis court, badminton, table
tennis, bikes to explore the countryside. Holistic Therapy Treatments are also
available. Our qualified therapist provides Reflexology and Aromatherapy. Pre
booking is advisable for these popular treatments. Fishing, golf and horse
riding are available nearby.
Dressage Tuition
Dressage tuition to PSG level, by resident British trainer. Indoor exercise
area, for experienced riders only. Cottage available for rent in the grounds of
the Chateau, with all the facilities available. 2 bedrooms & newly renovated.
Poitou Charente
Visit Chef Boutonne (1.5 kms) with its fairytale château dating back to the 12
century, its lake and renovated lavoir. Typical French pavement cafes. Tourist
attractions are plentiful, Futuroscope at Poitiers, the fishing port of La
Rochelle with its superb beaches. The famous distilleries of Cognac (Hennessy
Remy Martin etc.) and the vineyards of Bordeaux. Enjoy a day’s visit to the
Loire Valley and visit its vineyards. Lots of local markets. Zoos at Chize and
La Palmyre.
