Description
It comfortably sleeps 14 people in the château and 2 in the guest house. The flow through the château is very easy and the places to relax and play are many. The large T-shaped heated swimming pool is 13.5 meters by 5.10 meters. It is just behind the château, near the guesthouse and is integrated into the peaceful view of the countryside. It was designed to provide shallow areas for children while simultaneously leaving a long lane open for lap swimming and there is a hot outdoor shower.

Accommodation
The Chateau is in exquisite condition and is decorated with a combination of contemporary and period style furnishings. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The ground floor consists of a living room, formal dining room, breakfast room, library, office in the tower, kitchen and hallways surrounding an enclosed courtyard. The kitchen is very modern and fully equipped, and runs along the west side of the courtyard. Between the kitchen and the terrace wing is an informal dining-breakfast room with a stone fireplace that is ideal as a central meeting point, with a beautiful view of the swimming pool. The living room is bright and spacious, comfortably and tastefully furnished, which includes a television, VCR and hi-fi. Views of the pond, moat and terrace surround the room and the adjoining tower room through large high windows and French doors. The formal dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and comfortably seats 6 to 10 guests. Since the breakfast room, which also communicates with the kitchen, can seat 10, some families choose to have lunch in the sunny breakfast room and dinners in the dining room. Both rooms are equipped with a beautiful fireplace. Very enjoyable meals can also be easily taken on the terrace.

One of the quiet places on the first floor is the serene library with an adjacent office in the tower. Books, old and new, in French and in English entice the reader to relax while enjoying views of the pond and countryside. A fax machine is available in the office.

The terrace wing overlooks the moat and outdoor dining and lounging area as well as the western facade. It communicates through the breakfast room and has its own bedroom with bath and a playroom. All the bedrooms are very clean, comfortable and well appointed with picturesque views of the property. Each bedroom has been refurbished with brand new mattresses in the past year.

The second and third floors have six bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The second floor includes two double bedrooms (each with two twin-size beds), one double bedroom with queen-size bed and a master bedroom with king-size bed. The master bathroom located in the tower includes a shower room and a sunken 2-person tub.

On the third floor, there are two bedrooms: a furnished guest room with queen-size bed and a double bedroom with queen-size bed. There is also a freshly refinished bedroom with queen-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom in the wing overlooking the terrace and the moat.

The surrounding spacious terrace is furnished with lounging chairs and tables, offering the opportunity for leisurely hours of relaxation. The tour carrée overlooking the moat is the place for a game of ping-pong. You'll find bicycles, fishing poles, badminton, croquet and boules games here for your use.

There is a tidy two-room guesthouse, previously a guardian house, 30 meters from the château and near the swimming pool. It consists of a living/dining room, kitchenette, bedroom with queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.

A housekeeper/cook attends the château daily and the degree of service provided to guests is flexible to meet their needs. Beds are made daily with a weekly change of linens with breakfast served every morning. If desired, light cooking can be prepared as well. Arrangements can also be made for childcare.

The Grounds
The property includes beautiful tree-lined paths, an orchard and a one and a half-acre pond. The château is surrounded by a picturesque moat. A stone bridge crosses the moat and there is a pavilion, a pigeonnier and stables. Pastoral views of the moat and pond can be enjoyed from the very large tiled terrace. The narrow peninsula between the moat and the pond is an especially pleasant place to relax. The pond teems with fish and hosts an interesting variety of waterfowl. The grounds also include well-manicured avenues and paths bordered by fragrant linden trees and an orchard composed of several different kinds of fruit trees. Trails on the property traverse grazing fields and wooded areas and join other well-marked lanes and trails in the surrounding countryside. A professional gardener maintains the property.
