In a beautiful and peaceful setting between Cognac and Saint-Emilion the château is on the top of a hill offering superb views on woodland and pasture landscape. It is in a hamlet, so it is quiet but not isolated. The château boasts a private swimming pool (9 x 6 metre) located in 8 acres garden. The property is just 10 minutes away from the market town of Chalais, 4 minutes from La Dronne river (kayak, fishing, swimming), 5 minutes from tennis courts, 7 minutes from a game centre with a lake and 10 minutes from the nearest riding.

Puymangou is one hour from Bordeaux. On the edge of 'forêt de la Double', 3 kilometres away from the pleasant 'vallée de la Dronne', it is an area plenty full of roman churches. In the Cognac appellation wine area, Puymangou gives you the opportunity to explore along the 'vallée de la Dronne' (bastide of Saint-Aulaye, charming village of Bonnes, extraordinary village of Aubeterre, Ribérac, castle of Bourdeilles, abbey of Brantôme, famous restaurant in Champagnac de Belair, etc.), to taste the Cognac, Saint-Emilion and Pomerol famous wines or to visit Montréal or Montaigne castles.
