Bordeaux, in the beautiful vicinity of one of the most famous wine districts in
the world, the Chateau is located. The estate is a fantastic place were you can
find all the rest and space you deserve! The chateau is build on the ruins of an
old chateau just after the French Revolution. The park was already there and in
the course of time replanted with a wide variety of trees. There is a lake
situated in the park. One farm with farmland still belongs to the estate. The
coach house is situated on the estate near Miramont de Guyenne, between Bergerac
and Marmande in the South West of France.
Accommodation
The coach house was build in late 18th century on the estate of a grand Chateau,
a property of 20 hectares (approximately 60 acres) which consists of a lake,
parkland, arboretum, meadows and farmland. The coach house has completely been
renovated in 2003 and is very comfortable and welcoming. It is fully furnished
in a combination of antique and modern style. There is a large covered entrée,
which can be used as terrace, a very large kitchen, laundry, toilet, a salon and
sun-lounge with fireplace. Out of the kitchen one reaches the main covered
terrace.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with a cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer,
dishwasher and in the laundry washing machine and ironing facilities. There are
four bedrooms on the first floor, with each twin beds of 200 x 90 centimetre and
one bedroom is equipped with 2 additional beds. On the same floor there are 2
fully equipped bathrooms, each with a toilet. The coach house has a covered
terrace with superb outlooks over the estate and swimming pool. The pool (10 x 5
meters) is partly surrounded by a walled terrace with flowers. The changing room
is situated in the pigeonier. The tennis court on the estate can be used after
consultation. There is also a table tennis facility. One can have magnificent
walks over the estate.
Local Area
The estate is situated in the heart of castles and bastides (historic towns
build during the 100th year war) of the Aquitaine. Shopping is done in Miramont
(6 kilometre) and Marmande and Bergerac (each 25 minutes by car). Close by (10
minutes drive) there is Golf de Barthe (9 holes) and on a 25 minutes drive one
can find Chateau de Vigciers (18 holes) and Castlenaud (27 holes).
Around Marmande and Bergerac one can find the vineyards of those regions and on
an hour drive one is in the Bordeaux region.
