Description
"A dream trip through history from prehistoric times to the present".

This royal castle was the residence of the Kings of Navarre, of King Henry IV and of Queen Margot. Today, it belongs to the Sabran-Pontevès' family. You can visit the Royal Apartments with antique furniture, the Great Medieval Cellars where prestigious Bordeaux wines age, the Troglodyte Caves under the château, and special exhibitions.

The beautiful château grounds include the famous Gorges du Ciron, medieval ruins, the Queen's walkways and caves, a man-made lake, the mill, the lavoir, Bird Island and a giant bamboo path.

Taking advantage of the large wooded grounds (>500 acres), the Ciron river gorge, the pond, natural caves, a giant bamboo forest, riding avenues, etc...we can offer a wide range of high quality diverting
