Within the sound of the bells from the Abbey of Saint-Ferme, completely

central 18th century, typically Bordeaux style and smoothly finishes off with
two beautiful towers. The attention to detail is superb, retaining all the
original features such as the stone and marble fireplaces, oak beams, wooden

one would expect in this elegant property, cosy bedrooms decorated in a romantic
style with delicately matched fabrics, drapes adorning the beds and window, and
wonderful old designed en suite bathrooms. All this is there to make you feel as

The Château sits on its own in nine hectares of beautiful landscape gardens with
fishponds, trimmed hedges, trees and shrubs. Bordeaux is approx. 1 hr from the
coastal town of Arcachon famous for the sand dunes approx. 2hrs. The famous
vineyards of St. Emilion are 45 mins. Restaurants to sample local cuisine are
within easy access, and for the wine connoisseur, vineyards are in abundance.
There is also an excellent choice of 18 hole golf courses all within easy reach
of the Château.
Accommodation
Ground floor: Wonderful grand entrance hall complete with chandelier. To the
right of the hall is a narrow hallway leading to a comfortable lounge with the
original stone fireplace, following into the dining room and office. Beautifully
furnished double bedroom with en suite. A very large farmhouse kitchen that is
well equipped. Across the hall is the billiard room and library.
To the left of the entrance hall, is a small kitchen leading into the ballroom.
The original stone staircase with wrought iron baluster leads to the ten double
en suite bedrooms (twin and double beds) beautifully decorated.
Outside
The landscaped gardens are a picture with 3 ponds complete with goldfish, and a
large swimming pool tucked away amongst the trimmed hedges. Behind the swimming
pool is a tennis court. There is ample of garden furniture & barbeque equipment.
The price includes 2 maids, water, electricity, linen towels, and a guided tour
to a local vineyard to taste some of the best Bordeaux wine in the area. The
services of our French Chef, masseur and private chauffeur are available on request.
