This very special property, situated on the border of 3 French provinces: Burgundy, Champagne and Franche Comté, consists of two houses. They are close to each other but completely separate (out of sight and out of hearing from each other) but the gardens may be made to connect when rented together. This small manor house, built by a nobleman as a hunting lodge in the first years of the 18th century, epitomises the spirit of French country houses. Nestled in the fold of rolling hills, it opens into lovely walled gardens where roses, shrubs and wisterias tumble over fountains, box hedges and old stone walls. Several outdoor dining areas have been arranged in the dappled shade of ancient trees.

The Manor
The Manor, featured in Vogue and other magazines, is well equipped throughout and has been carefully restored for comfort, beauty and peaceful enjoyment. It offers the charm and the amenities of a private home with an elegant lounge with videotheque, a very big dining room cum library and a large adjoining country kitchen with services. Two staircases at each end of the house lead to three vast bedrooms and two excellent en suite bathrooms. With period furnishings, white beamed ceilings, high French windows, flagstone floors and open fireplaces in every room, the manor has so much character that visitors immediately feel very far away from everyday life.
