The
Property - This Property can sleep up to 30. It is split in to the main
chateau, the manor house and two self-contained cottages. Also included is a
annexe to the castle which has its own dining room and terrace leading on to the
courtyard. The luxury here is unparalleled including satellite TV, spa, indoor
pool, elaborate furnishings and fitness room. With of 13 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms,
4 shower rooms, 4 dining rooms, 4 fully-equipped kitchens, 10 WCs, 3 sitting
rooms, 4 large terraces and in-house electronic entertainment. The extensive
grounds also include a 5-a-side football pitch and a basketball net. The
property can cater for groups of all sizes from 4-31. For any group over 16 you
would be the only group in the Castle. For any group from 26-30 you would be the
only group in the whole hamlet!
Interesting Information - The castle is situated on a private estate
located near by historic chateaux, abbeys and medieval cities. There are plenty
of vineyards to be found in the local area! Nearby activities include walking,
water sports and golf. This is castle accommodation with the utmost privacy,
character and enchantment.
Getting There - Situated south-east of the city of Poitiers, 300km
south-west of Paris. Nearest airport is Poitiers (a 20 minute drive).
Alternatively take the TGV from Paris (half an hour).
The owners live all
year round in a wing of the château, have their private entrance and apartments
and they respect their guests privacy. These premises are rented to one party at
the time. When renting accommodation for 16 you would be the only party in the
Castle. When renting for 26-30, you would be the only party in the castle, the
outbuildings, the hamlet and the park. When renting accommodations for 12, the
cottage may be occupied by other guests, but our accommodation is
self-contained: each unit is independent and has a private entrance. You will be
the lady or lord of the manor during your stay. The Chateau and its outbuildings
are a private village in the middle of 35 acres of a park with a large forest
nearby. There is no traffic, no pollution...guests parking is about hundred
meters from the castle, so in the Castle and hamlet areas this is just "peace
and quiet". In spring, the meadows are full of wild flowers – a delight . If you
are patient (and wake up early!), you can watch deer, roebucks, foxes,
squirrels, birds of all kinds, rabbits, hares and more. You are almost
transported a few centuries back in time in a dream romantic country.
