Only a short
ride from Chartres and from Châteaudun, the exquisitely decorated Château offers
its visitors the pleasure of an unforgettable sojourn in a bucolic setting.
Built in 1716, the château was embellished with a tower in 1870 and was very
recently renovated to offer maximum comfort and numerous amenities and to
satisfy modern needs. In addition to the magnificent main building flanked by
its two annexes, the property boasts an ancient chapel as well as a picturesque
pigeon shelter. The entire complex is set within a verdant and flowery park
inhabited by hundred-year-old trees, and the handsome image of the Château is
quietly reflected in the adjacent pond.
You will be seduced by the elegant décor, ideal for all personal and
professional occasions: receptions, weddings, formal and informal parties,
luncheons, dinners, seminars, reunions, exhibitions, conferences and cocktail
parties.
The Château has four great exquisitely decorated salons, nine bedrooms of
various sizes, a large dining room, a bar, and a space for relaxation complete
with Jacuzzi and sauna.
One annex, the former Orangerie, has been transformed into a great reception
hall, which can accommodate up to 250 people. The downstairs area is an
impressive dancing or dining room supplied with catering facilities. One can
gaze at the dance floor from the upper level mezzanine, which opens onto a large
recreation area and a rest area.
Come to the Château and rest, or from June to September come and enjoy the local
outdoor sports activities only ten minutes away, such as golf, horseback riding,
canoeing, wind surfing, sailing, tennis, miniature golf, swimming, and flying.
Let yourselves be seduced by an array of cultural tourist activities: a visit to
the Chartres Cathedral, a jewel of Gothic architecture and stained glass; the
Renaissance Castle of Francis the First at Blois, the medieval Donjon and Castle
at Chateaudun; the picturesque House of Aunt Leonie or the Marcel Proust Museum
in Illiers-Combray (the native home of the world-renown writer). Tired of
visiting castles? Take a ride in a boat on the river Loir for a pleasant
promenade.
The salons - capacity 90 people
You may choose to rent together the four grand salons located on the ground
floor of the Château. Connected by a series of impressive double doorways in the
elegant 18th-century style, the salons collectively offer an impressive 150
square meters of floor space. For your convenience the catering area, the dining
room, the cloakroom and the terrace will be available to you and your guests.
For your more intimate parties, you may prefer to rent one salon only. Each
salon has its own personality, colour scheme, and furnishings to fit your
personal taste: from the masculine oak hunting trophy room with its great
fireplace, to the tender blue-pastel music room with its shimmering mirrors .
The Château does not have a restaurant. Instead, guests are invited to choose
from a number of outstanding local restaurants and caterers. If you prefer to
take advantage of our "Gold Star Service" option, the management will organize
all meals for you for your most comfortable and carefree stay.
The Orangerie - capacity 250 people
For your larger parties and receptions you are invited to book the Orangerie
with its great reception hall (143 m2), its mezzanine (110 m2), and its fully
equipped catering space. Take a stroll in the park and enjoy the gardens. The
Château offers a marvellous setting for your photographs and videos and its
delightful ambiance makes for an unforgettable event. You may also choose your
favourite caterer to plan your reception. Of course, our management will be
pleased to select a local caterer for you, or to provide a list from which you
may choose.
